Objectives: This course aims to teach theoretical and practical aspects of energy analytics by introducing and using Python and its core packages for machine learning-based energy forecasting applications.
Contents: Introduction to Energy Analytics; Basics of Python Programming Language in Jupyter Notebook; Preparation, Wrangling, and Visualisation of Energy Data with NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib; Exploratory Data Analysis for Energy Analytics; Fundamentals of Energy Forecasting; Introduction to Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn; Using Python for Machine Learning-Based Energy Forecasting Applications: Electric Load Forecasting, Reactive Power Forecasting, Renewable Power Forecasting, and Electricity Price Forecasting.
